Welcome to the Council of Practical Nurse Programs of New York State's home on the Internet.

The Council (CPNPNYS) is composed of practical nursing educators at over 50 schools of nursing located across New York State. A not-for-profit entity, Its goal is to improve the quality of licensed practical nursing education statewide.

This site is designed for a broad audience. Some of our regular visitors include those considering an LPN career, current nursing students, working LPNs and nursing educators.

For students, we have information on schools of practical nursing, including contact information, links to school Web sites and answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. Keep in mind that numerous job opportunities currently abound for LPNs.
